WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 2+ years of experience in ‘Mission critical’ operations and maintenance of large scale electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems
  • Education to a vocational level in a technical field and/or site engineering position
  • Skilled in maintenance of electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems
  • Preferably skilled in the maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems, HVAC Mechanical and/or Electrica

Responsibilities

The Site Engineer core responsibility is to perform infrastructure related activities in our Data Centres to ensure a reliable and efficient operation of the technical infrastructure. This is achieved through maintenance, testing and surveillance of all assets installed. The Site Engineer is responsible for trouble shooting, assembly and day to day scheduling of maintenance tasks. The Site Engineer II role is critical to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and deliver client satisfaction.

  • Drive adherence to company safety policies, operational efficiency, and core values.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Manage maintenance and repair operations, including coordination with subcontractors.
  • Perform on-call duties and manage incidents as necessary.
  • Document progress, issues, and results, and implement improvement measures.
  • Provide supervision to Junior Site Engineers, including task assignment, performance evaluation, and professional development guidance.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in technical skills pertinent to the role, covering troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
