Site Engineer
Location: Imerys - Shelton New Road, Cliffe Vale Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST4 7AR
Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, working Monday to Friday
8 hours a day, between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm
(On-call rota, being on call 1 in every 3 weeks)
Salary: £40,000.00 - £45,000.00 depends on experience plus up to 5% bonus

The job role:
Working at our secondary processing site, in Cliffe Vale, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of a wide range of processing plant equipment.

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Completing all engineering work to facilitate production of the budgeted and forecasted tonnes
  • Effective maintenance planning and implementation
  • Managing and supporting two Cross-Skilled Engineers in their activities
  • Monitoring equipment energy efficiencies and contributing to the design of continuous improvement initiatives that reduce our energy consumption
  • Using the SAP Engineering Resource Planning applications to record, predict and manage preventative, predictive and reactive asset maintenance
  • Completing Health and Safety documentation in line with company policy and procedures i.e. risk assessments, equipment specific procedures, permits etc
  • Producing and distributing engineering reports

You will:

Come from an engineering background with previous experience of working with/ on processing plant equipment, including Filtration systems, Milling machines, Conveyors, Mixing, Blowing and Pumping machines and Motors. Along with:

  • Having an NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in some form of engineering
  • Being Mechanically biased with some Electrical experience
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Having a high degree of Health and Safety awareness and competence
  • Legally being able to drive in the UK
  • A willingness to get stuck in
