Site Engineer - Track and Civil Construction
About the Employer
Our client is an engineering and construction business working across transport, defence and major infrastructure. It combines project delivery expertise with a focus on collaboration, technical improvement and sustainable outcomes.
The Opportunity
Provide site engineering and technical support for rail and heavy civil construction based in Salisbury, South Australia. You will help delivery teams meet programme, cost and quality objectives while turning design requirements into safe field execution.
Your Responsibilities
• Coordinate track and civil activities, including subgrade, drainage, capping, ballast, track laying, turnouts and alignment verification.
• Interpret track geometry and civil drawings or models and resolve constructability issues.
• Monitor progress and manage work programmes for crews and subcontractors.
• Prepare and administer inspection and test plans, quality records and audits under the project quality plan.
Requirements
Skills, Education and Requirements
• A Civil, Structural or Infrastructure Engineering bachelor degree.
• At least two years of engineering experience in heavy civil, earthworks or track construction.
• Membership of, or eligibility for, Engineers Australia.
• The Rail Safety Worker competencies and RIW card required under the project contract.
• Experience in site execution, planning and solving complex technical issues.
• Exposure to operational budgets, tenders and occupational health and safety legislation.
• Experience in active rail corridors or live civil infrastructure.
