We are currently recruiting for multiple Site Engineers to join our team in Canberra to help lead the delivery of a long-term project. In this role you will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex construction projects, and will be responsible for on-site technical support, quality control, and ensuring project execution aligns with plans and specifications. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager in all aspects of project delivery, from planning to completion. Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and material tracking. Interpret and implement engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications on-site. Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or potential issues. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and efficient workflow. Assist in the preparation and review of work method statements and risk assessments. Support the surveying and setting out of construction elements. Contribute to the development and implementation of site safety plans and procedures. Participate in site meetings, contributing technical expertise and providing updates on project progress. To be successful, you will need: To be an Australian Citizen at the time of application. To hold, or be able to gain and maintain a Government Security Clearance. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in the construction industry, preferably within large-scale projects. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, processes, and relevant building codes and regulations. Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality assurance. Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite). Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites as required.
