Your Role

As Site Engineer, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of a major residential project. You will provide structural engineering inspections, support project plans, design reviews and construction delivery.

You’ll:

  • Support the delivery of the project playing an engineer and inspector role
  • Providing engineering input throughout project execution phases
  • Reviewing designs, specifications and technical documentation
  • Liaising between contractors and project stakeholders during construction
  • Managing QA documentation, inspections and compliance requirements
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements and industry best practice.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3-7 years of engineering experience
  • Experience working in a site-based engineering role
  • Strong hands-on construction experience
  • Ability to collaborate with design engineers to resolve design issues
  • Qualifications in structural engineering
  • Ability to positively influence contracts and project stakeholders on site
  • Strong report and documentation writing ability

About the Role

At Multiworks, we know that great people are the foundation of a great business. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Site Engineer. This role will require the successful applicant to live remotely to deliver regional projects, this may require a DIDO arrangement.

These roles offer the opportunity to lead projects locally, across regional Victoria, and interstate, working on diverse and technically challenging scopes. If you enjoy ownership, variety, and working in a collaborative, high‑performing environment, this could be the role for you.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the project manager with project planning and start up activities.
  • Project delivery to agreed programs, timelines and quality standards.
  • Assist the project manager and site construction team with preparation, planning and execution of construction activities.
  • Contract administration (budget/program reporting, procurement, progress claims & variations management, issuing of ITP's to specific work activities)
  • Client interface regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries.
  • Formation, maintenance and compliance of QA documentation.
  • Overseeing and management of site resources (subcontractors, suppliers, service authorities and other stakeholders).
  • Manage project programs/schedules as directed by the project manager.
  • Preparation of project reporting (daily works, project progress, project costs).

About You

This position would suit a candidate who possesses the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry.
  • Previous experience working on civil infrastructure projects (i.e. electricity, rail, water, gas, roads).
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering quality driven projects to defined specifications and standards.
  • Knowledge of project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project or Procore.
  • Demonstrated experience in client management.
  • A good work ethic and eager to learn and grow in the role
