Description

LOCATION: NATIONWIDE

This is an opportunity to join a leading UK company specializing in the supply, manufacture, design, installation, and servicing of pumping equipment, is seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join our external site teams.
Working alongside our mechanical site engineers, you will be involved in the installation, commissioning, and servicing of pumping and related equipment across the UK.

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:

  • Electrical qualification to 17th or 18th Edition BS7671 – Essential
  • C&G Level 3 in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations – Desirable
  • Confined space training – Desirable
  • First Aid certification – Desirable
  • CSCS card – Desirable

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of the pumping industry – Desirable
  • Experience in a similar role or maintenance environment – Desirable
  • Experience with pumps – Desirable

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Flexible and adaptable approach – Essential
  • Strong team player – Essential
  • Excellent prioritisation skills with the ability to manage your own workload – Essential

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SITE ENGINEER:

  • Travel to sites nationwide across the UK
  • Assist the after-sales and breakdown teams when available
  • Be willing to stay overnight away from home when required (at least once a week)
  • Adhere to and contribute to the improvement of company procedures
  • Complete detailed site reports after every visit and obtain customer signatures
  • Submit all site reports and timesheets promptly
  • Act as a positive ambassador, promoting our products and services
  • Ensure all necessary tools and materials are prepared before leaving for each job and complete tasks within allocated timeframes
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and management at all levels
  • Manage petty cash and company credit card responsibly
  • Identify and communicate any training needs

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Comply with and uphold the company’s Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Undertake any other duties as required
