Job Description AECOM is seeking a qualified and experienced Site Engineer - Rolling Stock Testing & Commissioning (T&C) for metro rail projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the testing and commissioning of rolling stock systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements. This role involves close coordination with contractors, consultants, and project teams to deliver high-quality results. Job Duties: Plan, organize, and execute testing and commissioning activities for rolling stock systems. Conduct functional, performance, and safety tests to ensure rolling stock meets operational requirements. Verify integration of rolling stock with other metro systems, such as signaling, communication, and power supply. Ensure all testing and commissioning activities comply with relevant standards, codes, and project specifications. Identify and address discrepancies or defects during the testing phase. Prepare and maintain quality assurance documentation, including test reports and checklists. Work closely with rolling stock manufacturers, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth execution of T&C activities. Liaise with the client and other stakeholders to address technical queries and resolve issues. Coordinate with other subsystems (e.g., signaling, track, and power) to ensure seamless integration. Prepare detailed reports on testing and commissioning activities, including test results, observations, and recommendations. Maintain accurate records of all T&C activities for future reference and audits. Identify and resolve technical issues encountered during testing and commissioning. Propose innovative solutions to address challenges and ensure timely completion of T&C activities. Ensure adherence to safety protocols during testing and commissioning activities. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to address potential hazards. Provide technical support during the initial operation of rolling stock to ensure smooth handover. Assist in training operational staff on rolling stock systems and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline. Additional Information A minimum of 10 years of total experience in engineering roles. At least 4 years of direct experience in metro rail projects, with a focus on rolling stock testing and commissioning. Hands-on experience with metro rail rolling stock systems, including electrical and mechanical subsystems.
