Key responsibilities
- Monitoring and coordinating daily site activities to ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications
- Conducting site inspections and quality checks to verify workmanship and materials meet required standards
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain project momentum
- Maintaining accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of any variations or incidents
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and promoting a safe working environment for all personnel on site
- Managing site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment placement, and waste management
- Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to minimise delays and cost overruns
- Providing regular updates to the project management team on progress, milestones, and any issues requiring escalation
What we're looking for
- A tertiary qualification in civil, structural, or construction engineering, or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 2-4 years' experience working as a Site Engineer or in a similar on-site construction role
- Proven experience with site inspection, quality assurance, and construction documentation
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office applications
- A current driving licence and willingness to travel within the Dubbo region as required
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Professional registration or eligibility to register with Engineers Australia (desirable)

Your Role
As Site Engineer, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of a major residential project. You will provide structural engineering inspections, support project plans, design reviews and construction delivery.
You’ll:
- Support the delivery of the project playing an engineer and inspector role
- Providing engineering input throughout project execution phases
- Reviewing designs, specifications and technical documentation
- Liaising between contractors and project stakeholders during construction
- Managing QA documentation, inspections and compliance requirements
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements and industry best practice.
What You’ll Bring
- 3-7 years of engineering experience
- Experience working in a site-based engineering role
- Strong hands-on construction experience
- Ability to collaborate with design engineers to resolve design issues
- Qualifications in structural engineering
- Ability to positively influence contracts and project stakeholders on site
- Strong report and documentation writing ability
