Description

Job no: 494495
Work type: Full Time Permanent
Location: Queensland
Categories: Engineering
We are a successful civil contracting business who has been operating in Australia for over 35 years. With the agility and personal connection of a Tier 2, yet the expertise of a Tier 1, and the enhanced resources of one of the largest, world-class construction companies, VINCI, our employees and clients get the best of three worlds.
Join Seymour Whyte for the Beerburrum to Nambour (B2N) Upgrade Project, a major civil infrastructure project being delivered as a joint venture with John Holland and focused on enhancing the rail transport network between Beerburrum and Nambour on the Sunshine Coast. The project is due for completion in 2027.

Responsibilities

We have opportunities for experienced Site Engineer to join our operations teams on the Beerburrum to Nambour Upgrade project.

As a member of the project team, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ responsibilities, project management plans, and company policies while proactively identifying and escalating project risks.
  • Monitor construction quality and progress against method statements and ITPs to deliver works to required standards.
  • Manage daily field operations, including team supervision, productivity tracking, cost control, and estimating support.
  • Oversee procurement processes and subcontractor management, ensuring adherence to governance, authority limits, and verification of claims.
  • Support project planning through programme development, reporting, and ongoing professional competency maintenance in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
