Silverstrand is seeking a Site Engineer to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team. You will be based on our Brisbane to Gold Coast sites and employed on a permanent basis.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 1+ years’ experience in an engineering capacity on civil infrastructure projects
  • Experience with setting out works and height control using a total station
  • Placement and control of concrete orders
  • Thorough knowledge of Aus codes and standards
  • Strong Communication and people Skills
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
  • A good understanding of the Microsoft suite, in particular Excel and Word
  • Experience in coordinating resources on site and programming of works

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that the project works are completed safely and in line with Silverstrand’s and client’s procedures
- Manage any required aspects of project related design and procurement.
- Raise Requests for Information (RFIs) with the Clients.
- Actively manage the engagement and delivery of works for suppliers, consultants and subcontractors in a schedule of rate and/or lump sum
environment.
- Manage contractor performance in accordance with agreed scope, budget, and schedule parameters.
- Engineering drawings/ specifications, budgets, and timeframes
- Ensuring compliance with Safety & site Environmental requirements
- Procurement of plant and materials
- Provision of technical advice to stakeholders and clients
- Provide engineering and technical advice to the project team
- Daily record keeping and input of daily data onto MS spreadsheets
