STRABAG is actively seeking a Site Engineer for our Canadian division where he/she can utilize their extensive knowledge to contribute to the continued success and growth of the organization. The successful candidate will be stationed at the Advanced Tunnel Scarborough Subway Extension Project in Scarborough, Ontario.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Plant Manager and the Tunnel Manager, the Site Engineer is responsible for construction work preparation including construction planning, document preparation, and submission field supervision of sub-contractors and workforce. This position reports to the Tunnel Manager. The successful candidate will be stationed at the Scarborough Expansion Subway Project in Scarborough.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineering
  • 1-3-years of post-graduation working experience
Responsibilities
  • Producing drawings for work preparation and construction sequence planning using AutoCAD software
  • Preplanning and resource forecasting
  • Determination of permit requirements to execute the work
  • Administration of on-site and off-site storage facilities, including of maintaining the stock records
  • Planning and sequencing of construction activities on site
  • Coordination and preparation of project-related documents and submittals
  • Comply with applicable regulations and safety policies and procedures
  • Produce detailed method statements and job safety hazard analysis
  • Assist other departments as directed by the Plant Manager or Tunnel Manager
  • Promote STRABAG to all associated with the project by demonstrating professional skill and a high standard of fairness and integrity
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
