Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation in the FMCG sector for a Site Engineering Manager to join their team at a key manufacturing facility just outside Glasgow.
This senior leadership role is central to ensuring engineering excellence across the site, delivering high levels of reliability, efficiency, and safety. The successful candidate will oversee all engineering activities, lead a skilled team, and play a pivotal role in driving innovation and continuous improvement within a dynamic, fast-paced production environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and direct all engineering operations on-site to ensure maximum production efficiency and equipment reliability.
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Manage cross-functional engineering projects, supporting product quality and operational improvements.
  • Mentor and lead a team of engineers, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and embed best practice throughout the site.
  • Control engineering budgets and monitor expenditure to deliver cost-effective operations.
  • Promote process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives aligned to business objectives.
