Description

We have 2 main business streams:
1. Utility Investigations
2. Pavement Technology
We are expanding our capabilities and need Site Engineers to assist our team. The Site Engineers will report to our Utility Investigations Manager/ Pavement Manager.
We are willing to sponsor suitably qualified and experienced overseas candidates. People with experience working in countries with a strong focus on safety on construction sites will be preferred.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We require a person with a minimum of 1-3 years experience in Civil Construction as a Site Engineer A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Surveying is essential. A working knowledge of 12D software and Autocad will be an advantage.
Our industry is fast paced and diverse. We work all over NSW in sectors such as roads, highways, airports, railways, ports, building sites. There are many challenges to overcome but high satisfaction levels upon successful project delivery.
It is essential that the Site Engineers are disciplined and responsible as well as being creative and very good at problem solving. Damage to underground assets can cost millions of dollars and possible fatalities and all employees need to understand this.
All applicants need to have a visa that enables them to work full time in Australia with no restrictions.
All employees need a NSW driving license.

Responsibilities

The primary focus of the role will be:

  • Scoping, Planning and Managing Projects which involve Control, Topographic, Utility, Engineering surveys, Potholing and Pavement Investigations such as Core, Bore Holes, FWD, Hi Pave GPR, 3D GPR surveys etc.
  • Preparing all required QHSE information prior to projects starting and onboarding all personnel
  • Ensuring all vehicles, plant and people allocated to projects have been inspected/inducted.
  • Liaise with Client to ensure Project Management Plans are designed for the specific project and all staff are onboarded into their use before work commences.
  • Monitor Profit and Loss daily and ensure all QHSE documents, Job Reports etc. are submitted by Site crews at end of every shift with no gaps.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure work if being delivered as planned and to build relationships with Project Site Teams
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Issuing Progress Claims and Invoices
  • Site Audits
  • Raising QHSE reports as required and working out the root cause and appropriate corrective actions
  • Assisting with elements of tenders as required

It is anticipated that this role will be 60% office based and 40% site based.
The Site Engineers will liaise closely with other Project Engineers, Works Coordinators, QHSE Managers and Divisional Managers to ensure the key client deliverables are met to the highest standard.
