Seymour Whyte is seeking applications for Site Engineers for a civil project in Brisbane’s northern suburbs.
The 1.5 years project includes roadworks, drainage, earthworks, pavements, and concrete bridgeworks. We are looking for experienced engineers who are passionate about delivering quality outcomes and enjoy working as part of a team.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in civil engineering or a construction environment, preferably on-site.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce a critical path network with up to 100 activities.
  • Ability to prepare, monitor and update short-term production bar charts.
  • Working knowledge of safety legislation, Australian Standards and industry codes.
  • Understanding of specific project scope of work and contractual procedures for managing change.
  • Understanding of the distribution of contractual responsibilities between Client, Contractor, Subcontractor and Supplier.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
Responsibilities
  • Manage quality production defined by method statements and ITP’s and monitor construction progress to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
  • Establish, measure and report daily productivities for assigned activities.
  • Undertake cost controlling and estimating as required by the Project Manager.
  • Verify subcontractors’ claims and variations and undertake cost controlling and estimating as required.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on programmes for elements of work as required by the Project Manager.
  • Undertake procurement as required, including the use of ViewPoint.
