    About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Estimator – Site Works & Transport to join the team at our High Wycombe facility. In this role, you’ll be responsible for accurately pricing site works and transport packages based on project designs and briefs. Working closely with cross-functional teams including Design, Sales, Projects, and external stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the delivery of well-costed, competitive tenders across modular building projects.
Your ability to interpret plans, analyse costs, and manage scope risks will directly support Fleetwood’s continued success in delivering high-quality, innovative building solutions. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong construction background who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Review and interpret tender documents, architectural and engineering drawings to accurately prepare bills of quantities and price site works, installation, and transport packages.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Design, Estimating, Steel, Sales, Projects) and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements and pricing data are clear and aligned.
  • Undertake first principles estimating, prepare RFQs, scopes of work, and thoroughly vet subcontractor quotes to mitigate risks and ensure value for money.
  • Analyse project costs, including materials, labour, and services, assess impacts of design or delivery changes, and maintain a reliable cost basis for estimates.
  • Provide detailed pre- and post-contract cost reports and deliverables to support the Sales team and management decision-making.
  • Conduct peer reviews of estimates, comply with document control and administration standards, and maintain accurate records of quotes and reports.

About you:
You’re an experienced estimator with a solid background in construction or modular building and a sharp eye for detail. You know how projects come together on site, and you’re confident interpreting plans and navigating the complexities of costing and logistics.
Tech-savvy and analytical, you’re comfortable using tools like CostX and Excel to produce accurate, reliable estimates. You’re someone who communicates clearly, manages time well, and builds strong working relationships—whether you’re working solo or as part of a team. Most of all, you take pride in delivering work that’s thorough, thoughtful, and adds real value.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in the construction / modular construction industry.
  • Strong industry experience (construction or building industries) and market understanding.
  • Detailed knowledge of site construction techniques, project sequencing, & ability to read and interpret building plans.
  • Sound knowledge of transport safety Codes of Australia.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry standard estimation software (CostX or similar).
  • Advanced knowledge and experience utilising Microsoft Excel.
  • Sound statistical, analytical and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to plan & prioritise workloads to meet deadlines, for themselves & for their direct reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent in experience, skill and knowledge.
