Description Site Facility Manager Department: Facilities Management – School Facility Management, LLC Reports To: Senior Facility Manager Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt (Salary) Position Summary: School Facility Management (SFM) is seeking a Site Facility Manager to lead the daily operations and maintenance of our assigned facilities for a non-profit customer. This is a hands-on role that blends technical skills with administrative oversight, including direct maintenance work, vendor coordination, and campus-wide facility management. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and skilled professional ready to take ownership of a campus site, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. This position is vital to supporting SFM’s mission of providing reliable and optimal environments for our customers. Perform and/or coordinate routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and building inspections. Proactively monitor building conditions, addressing issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure optimal operational efficiency. Manage a computer-based work order system, ensuring all requests are logged, prioritized, and completed efficiently. Vendor & Contractor Management Strategically schedule and oversee external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance, repairs, and projects. Ensure all contracted work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Safety, Compliance & Budgeting Conduct regular safety inspections, promptly identifying and correcting potential hazards to ensure a safe environment for all occupants. Maintain strict compliance with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations. Assist in developing and managing the facilities budget, including tracking expenses for repairs, maintenance, and supplies. Project & Administrative Support Support and execute small-scale facility projects such as room reconfigurations, minor renovations, and equipment installations. Collaborate effectively with the Senior Facility Manager and on-site staff to plan and implement larger facility projects. Maintain accurate records for inspections, work orders, maintenance logs, and regulatory requirements. Requirements Qualifications: A minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance and building operations. A strong, working knowledge of core building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC basics, and fire safety systems). Demonstrated ability to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs independently. Exceptional organizational and communication skills with a strong customer service orientation. Proficiency in computer skills for work orders, recordkeeping, and scheduling using programs like Google Workspace or Microsoft Office. Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively to urgent needs and emergencies. Experience with budgeting and financial oversight for facility-related expenses. Working Conditions: Full-time, salaried role with a standard schedule. Typically Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Some evening or weekend availability may be required for emergencies or urgent facility issues.
