POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a skilled and safety-focused Asbestos Abatement Foreman to lead on-site crews and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. This role is hands-on, requiring leadership, problem-solving, and a strong understanding of asbestos removal procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid provincial Asbestos Abatement Supervisor/Worker certification
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in asbestos abatement (leadership preferred)
• Knowledge of asbestos regulations
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to read and follow work plans, hazard assessments, and specifications
• Physically fit and able to work in PPE and confined spaces if required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Lead and supervise asbestos abatement crews on-site
• Set up and maintain proper containment and decontamination systems
• Ensure all workers follow safe work procedures and wear proper PPE
• Communicate with the Project Manager regarding progress, issues, and needs
• Monitor air quality and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Conduct daily safety meetings and complete site documentation
• Oversee equipment use, cleaning, and maintenance
• Train and mentor crew members in safe and effective abatement practices
