QUALIFICATIONS

• Journeyman Interior Systems Mechanic (Carpenter) preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong understanding of drywall, framing, and interior systems installation
• Ability to read drawings, coordinate manpower, and anticipate site needs
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proven commitment to safety and quality

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Foreman to join our Ottawa team. The Foreman plays a key role in leading crews, coordinating manpower, and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of work in accordance with project requirements and collective agreements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and supervise crews of Interior Systems Mechanics (Carpenters) on active job sites
• Coordinate daily manpower needs and track productivity
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards, including site documentation and reporting
• Ensure quality of work meets company and project specifications
• Act as the primary liaison between the site team and project management
• Provide mentorship, direction, and accountability to apprentices and journeymen
• Support scheduling, sequencing of work, and proactive problem solving on site
• Enforce compliance with company procedures and expectations around reporting (e.g., daily logs, safety forms, Procore use)
