SITE FOREMAN – FULL-TIME, PERMANENT POSITION

Point Force Carpentry is seeking a skilled Site Foreman to oversee high-end renovations and new builds across Sydney’s Eastern and Northern Suburbs. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to manage multiple trades on-site, ensuring the successful delivery of premium residential projects.
We work closely with Sydney’s top home builders, and we need a capable foreman who can coordinate various trades, maintain quality standards, and ensure all work is completed on schedule. If you have strong leadership skills and experience managing diverse teams in construction, this could be the perfect role for you.
Position: Site Foreman
Location: Sydney (Eastern and Northern Suburbs)
Salary: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
Hourly Rate: $60.00 – $75.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience: At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role in the construction industry, with experience managing multiple trades on-site (previous foreman or site supervisor experience is preferred)
  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead and motivate teams of various trades, ensuring smooth coordination and high-quality work
  • Knowledge: A solid understanding of the construction process, including reading and interpreting plans, and managing multiple trades
  • Licences/Certifications:
  • White Card (Required)
  • Driver Licence (Required)
  • Additional construction-related qualifications (preferred)
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to problem-solve and handle on-site challenges effectively
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and quality control
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a range of tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) on-site, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within the project timeline
  • Coordinate daily activities and workflow to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project goals and expectations are met
  • Interpret and review project plans, drawings, and specifications, and communicate necessary information to tradespeople
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control measures across all trades on-site
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues or delays, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline
  • Oversee and ensure the proper use and management of materials, tools, and equipment
  • Mentor, guide, and train junior staff and tradespeople to ensure career progression and skill development
  • Maintain daily logs and progress reports to keep the project on track and within budget
