Come join our team to be a part of this amazing opportunity!   Job Title: Site HR Coordinator  The Site HR Coordinator plays a key role in delivering a positive employee experience by ensuring HR services are delivered in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. The position requires a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, while fostering respectful engagement with Tahltan Nation members and other Indigenous employees and communities in alignment with organizational values and commitments.   Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Onboarding, Orientation & HR Administration * Create and maintain employee profiles in UKG, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and up to date. * Coordinate onboarding activities including documentation, system access, employee file setup, and logistics for site arrival. * Conduct and support new hire orientation, ensuring employees receive key information on site expectations, policies, payroll processes, and safety procedures. * Integrate Tahltan cultural awareness and Indigenous inclusion principles into onboarding and employee interactions where applicable. * Monitor onboarding completion status and follow up with employees regarding outstanding documentation or requirements. * Prepare and distribute new hire welcome communications to support a positive onboarding experience. * Draft employee correspondence including mobility change letters, travel-related notices, and disciplinary or warning letters in accordance with company policies. * Supported end-to-end employee offboarding, including exit documentation, system access coordination, and ensuring a smooth and compliant transition. * Monitor Leave of Absence (LOA) cases and ensure Return-to-Work (RTW) documentation is completed within required timelines. * Support rehire processes for returning employees, including system updates, documentation, and coordination with Talent Acquisition as needed. * Monitor and update required professional certificates for site employees. Benefits & Payroll Administration  * Support employee benefits administration including enrollments, updates, and employee inquiries.   * Respond to payroll and HR-related inquiries and escalate complex matters to the appropriate department when necessary.   * Review employee tax forms for completeness and accuracy and follow up on missing information.   * Assist managers and employees with timecard inquiries, payroll-related questions, and first-level UKG support.   * Manage and respond to inquiries received through the shared HR inbox in a timely and professional manner.   * Update apprenticeship hours on the respective skilled trades’ portal. HRIS & Compliance  * Upload, organize, and maintain employee records and Records of Compliance (ROC) documentation within UKG and HR systems.   * Ensure employee records, payroll documentation, and HR files are maintained in compliance with company standards and confidentiality requirements.   * Coordinate performance review reminders and follow up with managers and employees to support timely completion of evaluations.   * Support onboarding sessions, training initiatives, and policy or process change management activities.   Indigenous Relations & Community Awareness * Support respectful engagement with Tahltan Nation and other Indigenous communities in alignment with company commitments and agreements. * Promote culturally respectful practices and awareness in HR processes and employee interactions. * Assist in tracking and supporting Indigenous employment initiatives and reporting where required. Additional Responsibilities * All other duties as reasonably assigned.    The Ideal Candidate Education / Qualifications: * Diploma or post-secondary education in Human Resources is required.   Experience / Skills  *  Minimum 2-3  years of experience in Human Resources is required.  * Experience within mining, construction, manufacturing, or other industrial environments is considered an asset.    * Experience supporting remote site or FIFO operations is considered an asset.    * Experience using HRIS systems, preferably UKG, is required. * Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.    * Effective team player who can jump in wherever is needed. * High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail. * Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as with others.    Work Location & Conditions This is a site-based camp job at Eskay Creek Mine site. This position involves working at a remote mine site on a 15 days on/13 days off rotation.         The Eskay Creek Revitalization Project is located within the Coast Mountains of Northwestern British Columbia and Tahltan Territory. Ground transportation will be provided from local communities to the Eskay Creek Site facilities. For those applicants located elsewhere in western Canada, flight transportation from major urban centers will be provided to the Terrace or Smithers airports, from which shuttles will provide transportation to the Eskay Creek Camp facilities. Travel time and expenses are subject to Skeena’s Travel Policy.        There will be exposure to extreme temperatures in all seasons including working outdoors in snow, mud, ice, and water conditions, walking to and from different locations on uneven ground, prolonged periods of standing and physically handling/lifting/moving heavy objects.         Compensation The expected salary range for this position is CAD $70,000-$80,000, in line with the competitive job market for such roles carried out in British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines and any job offer received by a candidate will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant education, training, and/or experience.   All Applicants MUST be legally entitled to work in Canada.
