Responsibilities

KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage site-level implementation of global sourcing strategies and specific savings projects, ensuring alignment and effective execution of agreed strategies with category goals, timelines, and KPIs like Cost Down, Cash in, OTD
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with site purchasing teams, operations, material planning, engineering, finance, and other stakeholders to drive adoption of global initiatives and resolve implementation challenges.
  • Change Management: Develop and execute change management plans to support smooth transitions, including communication, training, and internal and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Supplier Enablement: Oversee supplier onboarding, compliance, and performance tracking during implementation phases.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on implementation progress, savings realization, and risk mitigation across sites.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to global procurement policies, standards, and regulatory requirements during implementation.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOUR EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES ARE:

  • BS or BA degree required, Supply Chain Management or Business related
  • ASCM or APICS certification as CSCP, CPIM, CLTD, ISM certification, desired
  • 10+ years’ progressive experience in Procurement and Strategic Sourcing for large global/multinational, process driven companies, building, optimizing and executing programs across diverse teams and cultures
  • Hands-on approach to execute
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects in global or multi-site environment
  • Working in and understanding a Matrix Organization is highly desired
  • In depth knowledge and experience of strategic procurement processes
  • Experience in selecting, leading, and ensuring desired outcome with external procurement resource management
  • Experience in leading through influence without reliance on reporting lines
  • Strong project management and leadership & communication skills (PMP or similar certification is a plus)
  • Highly self-motivated to develop strategic, tactical, and operational direction
  • Ability to provide responsive support to business units and accomplish corporate cost reductions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate change management with colleagues and key contacts throughout the company
  • Proven problem-solving skills. Ability to make appropriate decisions.
  • Understanding of Source to Pay and Procure to Pay processes, Oracle ERP Systems (or related) preparation and deployment; proficiency with Oracle & Microsoft Office applications; and the ability learn additional IT analytical tools
  • Culturally aware and proven emotional intelligence to guide thinking and behavior
  • Ability to work within a global matrix organization
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
    Travel Requirements: up to 50% to domestic manufacturing sites
