JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Site IT Administrator to join our team on either a part time or full time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the site’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and support for all users. This role requires a strong understanding of various technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. The Site IT Administrator will play a crucial role in enhancing productivity and ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally.
The Site IT Administrator will manage the stability, security & maintenance of the company IT network offering 1st line IT desk support to 80+ staff on hardware and key software systems such as Office365, Sharepoint & Dynamics365.

Principal duties:

  • Influence and engage senior stakeholders, providing sound commercial and technical advice, ensuring IT activity is delivered in an effective manner and delivers value for money.
  • Lead and represent the interests of the organisation, engendering constructive relationships with our IT contract partners, influencing strategies and policy, to ensure that these meet the needs of the business.
  • Recommend, manage, and implement appropriate plans, budgets, software, hardware, and processes to meet the long-term requirements of the IT function.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collate & publish KPI’s across key aspects of the company IT network.
  • Perpetually monitor and update software and hardware as to maximise system stability.
  • Advise staff on IT best practises and security policies.
  • Participate, as part of a core implementation team, in configuring, testing and coaching users during the onboarding of a new Dynamics-365 business management tool.
  • Lead and represent the interests of the organisation, engendering constructive relationships with our IT contract partners, influencing strategies and policy, to ensure that these meet the needs of the business.
  • Recommend, manage, and implement appropriate plans, budgets, software, hardware, and processes to meet the long-term requirements of the IT function.
    You may be required to perform such other duties as may reasonably be required of you by the Company from time to time.

SKILLS:

  • Self-motivated with a systematic and organised approach.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to initiate and develop relationships across the organisation, responding to queries as necessary.
  • Flexibility in approach and ability to prioritise workload and meet project deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Consistent, reliable, and calm under pressure with a positive attitude.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proven capability of contributing to large-scale change initiatives and embedding new technology and associated ways of working throughout a business.
  • Excellent IT knowledge, with emphasis on having a strong understanding of Office365 & Dynamics365 software suites.
  • Previous of ERP / MRP systems.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • MCSA qualified or equivalent with significant experience of IT network management in a pharmaceutical or other regulated industry would be an advantage.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES / DELIVERABLES:

  • Ensure all I.T. services procured on behalf of the organisation comply with the latest company SOP’s and Regulatory requirements.
  • Provide first line technical support to staff for any ad-hoc IT related issues.
  • Manage data backup & security systems and ensure quick recovery in case of failure.
