JOB FUNCTION – KEY REQUIREMENTS

The site IT Support Analyst will have the duties of providing support to end users on a variety of issues at the Shelby, NC plant. Incumbents identify, research, and resolve technical problems. They respond to telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests for technical support. They perform pro-active monitoring of EGFA’s computer systems through appropriate tools. They document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolutions.

Job Duties include but are not limited to these infrastructure support components:

  • Standard desktop, tools & utilities
  • Server operating systems, tools & utilities
  • IT networks and voice services
  • IT security and Disaster Recovery
  • Process control and monitoring
  • Help Desk technologies

REQUIRES (education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities):

  • Minimum 2-year degree in Computer Technology, Instrumentation, Engineering, or related discipline preferred
  • 0-2 years technical support experience in a computer-related area
  • Desire to be in technical support and gain experience in a computer-related areas
  • Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the related field
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to document operations procedures
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to deal all types of customer service requests
  • Good analytical, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively interact with a diverse user base
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with sensitivity, safety and physical security
