JOB TITLE: SITE LEAD – PLANTS

Location: Bartlett Business Park, Huntingdon Road, Chatteris, PE16 6EG
Contract Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week (typically Monday to Friday)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

• Background in horticulture, fresh produce, agriculture, or FMCG.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience in high-volume or seasonal operations.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Site Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our plant site in Chatteris. This is a hands-on leadership position managing key operational functions including Intake, Picking, Despatch, and Production. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and team performance in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and coordinate Intake, Picking, Despatch, and Production activities to meet business needs.
• Lead a team of managers and operatives, setting clear expectations and performance standards.
• Manage staffing levels, rotas, and training requirements to ensure high performance.
• Maintain strong Health & Safety and compliance standards across the site.
• Ensure plant product quality meets customer and specification requirements.
• Identify and implement improvements to optimise operational performance.
• Report on KPIs, site performance, and resource allocation to senior leadership.
