Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Site Leader is committed to a high level of achievement of outcomes in the delivery of the Workforce Australia Program within the Gladstone region. The Site Leaders role is to support the team in meeting/exceeding their performance objectives within a quality framework and delivering service excellence through coaching, mentoring, empowering and fostering a high performing team.
The Site Leader will lead, manage and support their team to provide service excellence through building and maintaining effective relationships with employers, participants and community partners, enabling sustainable employment opportunities and outcomes for program participants.
The Site Leader is responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships in the community that support participants on their journey to work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain networks with community organisations, employers, educational institutions and government agencies to support sustainable employment pathways for participants.
  • Maintain an understanding of the labour market, employer resourcing needs and constraints of employers.
  • Network and represent the organisation at industry events, conferences and forums
  • Drive and lead performance of a team of Mobile Employment Consultants and Employment consultants
  • Drive quality and financial viability by ensuring key performance and compliance objectives are pursued and met/exceeded each month
  • Provide organisational reporting, monitor and analyse data on key performance indicators and implement corrective actions where required
  • Continuously evaluate service offerings and initiate innovative improvements to meet delivery demands
  • Ensure all operational activities are sufficiently focused and prioritised to deliver strongest result
  • Ensure service delivery activities comply with contractual requirements and guidelines with organisational policies
  • Manage caseload allocations that match participants with Employment Consultants for optimum results

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience within the Employment Services, Training, or a similar type sector is highly desirable
  • A background in jobactive and/or Workforce Australia licence Deed and guidelines.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, able to demonstrate empathy with accountability
  • An astute motivator, able to foster genuine and positive relationships with others.
  • Strong problem solving skills and initiative – able to find solutions and understands the key contract levers that are important in getting people into jobs.
  • Exceptional ability to develop and maintain employer relationships and determine key decision makers.
  • Experience in target based and fast paced environments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able work effective and collaboratively in a remote team.
  • High level of resilience.
  • Experience in managing high performing teams
