A truly bespoke manufacturer that provides the widest range of solutions to meet all of your building needs. Now approaching four decades experience in the design, manufacture and construction of off site engineered buildings, the Actiform team can be relied upon to provide the best building solution for site facilities, health, education and commercial environments.

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Foreman/Forewoman to oversee and manage the on-site delivery and assembly of our modular construction project based in Bridgwater. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating trades, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring that work progresses on schedule. This is a key leadership role that requires hands-on experience, strong organisational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with site teams, subcontractors, and management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Site Foreman or Supervisor, preferably in modular or offsite construction.
  • CSCS Supervisor Card (Gold) or equivalent.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
  • First Aid at Work certification (essential).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and modular build techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • Competent with basic IT for reporting and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems on site.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate all site-based activities relating to the installation of modular buildings.
  • Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors to ensure works are carried out safely, to specification, and within programme.
  • Manage day-to-day operations on site, including labour, plant, deliveries, and material handling.
  • Ensure all health, safety, environmental and quality standards are implemented and maintained.
  • Conduct daily site briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure method statements and risk assessments are followed.
  • Monitor progress against programme and proactively address any issues that may cause delays.
  • Maintain accurate site records including daily logs, site photos, and progress reports.
  • Inspect works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
  • Ensure the site is kept safe, tidy, and well-organised at all times.
  • Support snagging and commissioning processes and liaise with clients and consultants during handover stages.
