Job Description Job Summary The Site Manager will be responsible for leading, supervising, and coordinating all on-site activities related to the construction and commissioning of a Simple Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant. The role ensures that all works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and experience managing large-scale power plant projects. Key Responsibilities Oversee all site activities related to the construction and commissioning of the Simple Cycle Gas Turbine–based Power Plant. Manage and supervise site inspections, erection works, and coordination between the Construction Contractor, EPCM Contractor, and the Employer. Ensure compliance with project safety standards, quality assurance requirements, and interface management procedures. Lead all Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation & Control (I&C) commissioning activities. Coordinate testing, start-up, and handover activities in line with project milestones. Supervise and guide multi-disciplinary construction and commissioning teams to ensure timely and high-quality completion of works. Monitor contractors’ performance, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to project specifications and schedules. Prepare and review site reports, method statements, permits, and relevant documentation. Liaise regularly with project management, stakeholders, and external parties to ensure smooth project execution. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE protocols at all times. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering. Degree from an internationally recognized university is an advantage. Minimum 20 years of experience in the construction and commissioning of power plants, with extensive expertise in gas turbine commissioning. Proven track record in managing complex site operations and leading multi-disciplinary teams. Strong understanding of construction and commissioning procedures, safety protocols, and interface management. Familiarity with construction and commissioning management tools and documentation practices. Experience working in multicultural teams and on international projects is highly desirable.
