Site Manager Reporting to: Project Manager Location: European based projects - working on a rotation basis Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent About Crown Crown is Ireland’s leading specialist roofing, cladding, and façade contractor and a trusted partner to clients across Ireland and Europe. We deliver high-quality projects across a wide range of sectors, including digital technology, commercial, retail, industrial, residential, pharmaceutical, and healthcare. We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards. The Site Manager will play a key role in coordinating labour, materials, and plant, while maintaining strong communication with the Project Management team and site stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Ensure appropriate levels of labour and materials are available on site, with full compliance to Health & Safety requirements. Procure materials within approved budget parameters and ensure timely delivery in line with the project programme. Ensure sufficient plant and equipment are available, correctly scheduled, and fully H&S compliant. Deliver works strictly in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans to maintain quality throughout installation. Prepare, review, and update site-specific risk assessments and method statements as required. Issue weekly planned versus actual progress reports, including dropline updates, location-based and dated photographs. Chair weekly internal project meetings and attend external meetings with clients and design teams as required. Record and distribute accurate meeting minutes and ensure correct filing within project records. Liaise with the Senior Project Manager and/or Project Director to maintain a clear understanding of the Bill of Quantities and commercial aspects of the project. Monitor and report material, plant, and labour costs against approved budgets on a monthly basis. Notify the Senior Project Manager, Project Director, and Project QS immediately of any variations to facilitate timely programming and pricing. Carry out re-measurement of completed works and submit to the project team as required. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure materials are ordered in line with installation milestones and quality-checked prior to acceptance on site. Maintain strong working relationships with site operatives, subcontractors, Main Contractors, and clients. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and best practice, proactively identifying and mitigating site risks. Lead by example in promoting the company’s professional standards and conduct on site. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required. The role may involve travel and unsocial working hours. Construction-related degree or equivalent (Construction Science or Engineering preferred). Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Site or Project Management role within the roofing and cladding sector. Strong ability to read and interpret roofing and construction drawings and specifications. Sound knowledge of roofing and cladding construction methods, safety codes, and best practice. Excellent communication, supervisory, and people-management skills. High IT proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); Microsoft Project advantageous. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Strong team player with a proactive and collaborative approach. Full, current driving licence.
