Caddick Construction is a family-owned business renowned for quality, integrity, and innovation in the construction sector. We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the team due to a number of exciting new projects across the commercial, industrial and logistics sectors in the Middlesbrough. The role of the Site Manager will be to manage the operational resources (people, and physical assets) to implement the plan for the assigned project safely, on time and to the required quality while maximizing customers’ satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Site Manager

  • Leading and coordinating site preparation, ensuring all required facilities are established before the project starts.
  • Ensures both the Contract and Construction Programme is monitored, managed and regularly updated and reported on a regular basis.
  • Identification of Key Project Risks and Mitigation.
  • Delivers a high standard of project on time, to the expected quality.
  • Compile and Implement the Construction Phase Plan (CPP) so that is its it is managed and regularly updated during the project.
  • Collaborating with the onsite team which would typically include subcontractors, engineers, and management. This is to ensure all on site activities are managed properly.
  • Be responsible for enforcing HSEQS protocols on site consistently.
  • Promote and maintain a culture of safety on-site, adhering to Health and Safety standards and best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety and quality inspections, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Hold a minimum of SSSTS, First Aid at Work qualifications, and a relevant CSCS card.
  • Supervise and motivate directly employed teams and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare valuations, and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Take a proactive approach to day-to-day problem-solving and resolve any site issues promptly.
  • Review and prepare site reports, designs, and drawings to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, providing progress updates and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Use IT tools such as Word, Excel, and project management software to manage reports, schedules, and documentation.
  • Administer the temporary works procedure and fulfil the duties of a temporary co-ordinator/supervisor.
