Salary Range: $34,500

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certification as a Youth Peer Support Specialist (PSS) through a state-approved training program (or obtain prior to hire with agency support)

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated one-year period of wellness, defined as:
  • Lack of symptoms or behavioral health hospitalization
  • Medication compliance
  • Active engagement in the recovery process
  • Completion of DBHDID-sanctioned 30-hour PSS training (re-training provided by Pathways if not already completed)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least one year of managerial or supervisory experience
  • Lived experience with substance use disorder (SUD) and/or mental health (MH), with ability to work with that population
  • Qualifying experience as required by PSS regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change
  • Ability to provide services consistent with Kentucky regulations and Pathways policies

Responsibilities
  • Provide Peer Support Services by:
  • Sharing lived experience and advocating for those in recovery
  • Sharing resources and building skills
  • Facilitating community connections and relationships
  • Leading peer sessions, mentoring, and setting recovery goals with assigned consumers
  • Manage and oversee the TAYLRD Drop-In Center during operational hours
  • Provide direct supervision to other TAYLRD staff
  • Conduct outreach and collaborate across systems to strengthen services
  • Adhere to all Pathways policies and procedures, and all regulations including 908 KAR 2:220
  • Perform other duties as assigned
