Description

We’re currently undergoing recruitment for a Site Manager to join our client in the Aberystwyth area.

  • Straight to permanent position
  • 07:30 – 17:00 approx.
  • Monday – Friday
  • £250 per day – (Roughly £60,000 per annum)

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction operations.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of construction crews and subcontractors.
  • Track project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Always uphold strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Perform routine site inspections to verify adherence to building codes and project standards.
  • Communicate project status updates to managers and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee site logistics, including material deliveries and equipment storage.
  • Address on-site challenges promptly and implement effective solutions.
  • Keep thorough and accurate records, such as daily logs, reports, and safety documentation.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and regulatory bodies as necessary.
  • Monitor quality standards and ensure all work meets the required specifications.

Skills and requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar supervisory role in the construction industry.
  • Strong background in overseeing construction projects from groundworks to completion.
  • Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and multiple trades on-site.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple site activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Willingness to travel between sites or work flexible hours when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
