REQUIREMENTS:

• experience as a Site Manager, ideally on retrofit or social housing schemes
• Previous exposure to SHDF or similar decarbonisation/retrofit projects
• Valid certifications: SMSTS, CSCS, Asbestos Awareness
• Confident communicator and team leader
• Comfortable using digital tools for site management

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Build Recruitment are working with a leading contractor delivering SHDF-funded retrofit upgrades across multiple social housing sites in the Midlands. We’re seeking a Site Manager to take the reins across three concurrent sites, focusing on energy efficiency works including EWI, roofing, and window/door replacements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE SITE MANAGER ROLE:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations across live retrofit projects
• Lead site teams to ensure works are delivered safely on time, and to spec
• Ensure compliance with SHDF retrofit requirements and sustainability goals
• Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and programme timelines
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality control
• Work closely with senior management and support junior team members
