Job Description

  • Lead and manage Production and Warehouse teams, providing direction, support, and development
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and implement quality, safety, health, and environmental systems
  • Oversee safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment, including hazard analyses and preventive maintenance programmes
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands whilst managing costs and resources efficiently
  • Monitor productivity, investigate downtime issues, and collaborate with staff to identify and implement process improvements
  • Coordinate logistics for product deliveries and manage purchase orders for projects and maintenance work
  • Assess and maintain a register of approved contractors; supervise on-site contractors to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
  • Support the QC Laboratory to ensure compliance with product and environmental standards
  • Maintain comprehensive records related to plant maintenance, repairs, and modifications
  • Promote waste minimisation, efficient use of raw materials (FIFO), and maintain high housekeeping standards across the site
  • Conduct Toolbox meetings and routine staff communications; participate in internal audits and risk assessments
  • Ensure timely processing of administrative documentation and support site security measures
  • Report on operational performance, including safety, environmental metrics, and KPIs
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Operations Manager


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting or leading site operations effectively.
  • Background in production and warehouse operations.
  • Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with use of ERP (software packages) and Microsoft office programs.
