Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our integrated multidisciplinary team based in Brisbane, Queensland. This person will be required to act as the engineers on-site representative providing technical leadership, construction oversight, quality assurance, and liaison between the client, contractor and design team.

In this role, you'll provide construction leadership and technical oversight for mining, tailings, and mine infrastructure projects. You'll be responsible for overseeing the construction of earthworks providing site-based support to the head-office based design team to confirm construction compliance with approved design requirements, technical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Provide site-based construction supervision and technical leadership.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes, including inspections, testing, and non-conformance management.
  • Verify earthworks, embankment construction, drainage works, geosynthetics installations, and related civil infrastructure are constructed to project requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure environmental compliance across site activities.
  • Act as the key technical liaison between clients, contractors, and design teams.
  • Participate in construction meetings and provide progress, quality, and performance reporting.

What You Bring

We are seeking a construction professional who combines strong site leadership with practical project delivery experience across tailings, mining, geotechnical, and civil infrastructure projects.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Approximately 10+ years of civil engineering or construction experience, including significant site-based supervision or construction management experience.
  • Strong experience delivering mining, tailings, water, geotechnical, earthworks, or civil infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of construction quality assurance, earthworks specifications, compaction control, contractor management, and construction safety.
  • Proven ability to lead site teams and manage multiple stakeholders in complex project environments.
  • Strong communication, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and successful project outcomes.
  • Experience with tailings storage facilities, dam embankments, mine infrastructure, or large-scale earthworks projects will be highly regarded.

As a Site Manager, you'll take ownership of day-to-day site delivery - coordinating trades, managing sequencing and logistics, maintaining safety standards, and keeping projects moving to programme.

What You'll Need

  • Previous experience delivering commercial fitout projects
  • Strong subcontractor coordination and site management capability
  • Ability to manage sequencing, logistics and programme outcomes
  • Strong focus on quality, safety and client experience
  • White Card (mandatory)
  • Valid driver's licence (mandatory)
  • First Aid & CPR certification preferred
