Job Title: Site Materials Testing Technician

Salary: £16-£22 per hour (based on experience) + travel allowance + benefits

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Materials Testing Technician to join our growing team. Operating across a wide range of project sites throughout the UK, you will be responsible for carrying out on-site materials testing on soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys field-based work, is comfortable travelling extensively, and has a strong interest in geotechnics and materials testing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform on-site materials testing in line with BS, EN, and UKAS standards.
• Carry out sampling and in-situ testing of:
• Soils (CBR, plate bearing, DCP)
• Aggregates
• Fresh and hardened concrete (slump tests, cube making)
• Asphalt (core cutting, compaction)
• Complete and submit accurate daily test records, site reports, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to required standards.
• Communicate effectively with site engineers, clients, and laboratory teams.
• Represent the company in a professional manner on client sites.
