Job Description Site O&M Manager / Resident Service Engineer Kanadevia Inova – Indaver Rivenhall IWMF, Braintree, Essex Kanadevia Inova is seeking a highly capable, operationally focused Site O&M Manager / Resident Service Engineer to represent our organisation on-site at the Indaver Rivenhall IWMF facility in Essex. This is a hands-on, plant-facing position with a strong focus on technical oversight, maintenance coordination, and daily operational support and guidance under our Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA). You will act as the primary interface between the client and Kanadevia Inova, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant plant performance. Because this role requires someone who can immediately contribute on-site, you must have proven experience within Energy-from-Waste (EfW) or large-scale biomass power plants, ideally having gained experience within an Operations & Maintenance environment and have experience of a newly commissioned power plant. Key Responsibilities (non-exhaustive) Provide support and guidance to the clients operational team, assisting with technical trouble shooting and providing advice regarding operational activities. Lead all on-site LTSA activities, ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of maintenance and service works. Plan, coordinate, and execute scheduled outages, corrective maintenance, and emergent repairs, including contractor oversight. Act as the on-site technical authority, supporting inspections, equipment assessments, and operational readiness. Monitor daily plant activities to ensure compliance with operational procedures, environmental standards, and HSEQ regulations; support incident and near-miss investigations. Work closely with the client’s O&M teams to develop, review, and enhance maintenance routines, operational procedures, and improvement plans. This job description outlines the primary responsibilities but is not exhaustive. Duties may evolve in line with business needs and the employee’s experience and skills. Qualifications Strong operational background in EfW or large-scale biomass, ideally covering both maintenance and plant operations. Experience may come from: O&M teams Plant or maintenance management Operations roles Warranty or reliability engineering Practical experience delivering LTSAs, service contracts, or similar plant service frameworks, with strong commercial awareness. Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver outages, including contractor management and reporting. Excellent understanding of HSEQ standards with proven safety leadership on industrial sites. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident when dealing with plant staff, contractors, and client representatives. Proactive, solution-focused mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
