SITE PLANNER

We have a new opportunity for a Site Planner to join our brilliant Supply Chain team at our site based in Middlesbrough!

Location: Middlesbrough
Hours: 39 per week (Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5pm with an early finish on Fridays!)
Salary: £32,000 per annum

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in Production Planning ideally in chilled food manufacturing
  • FMCG background

Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

We are looking for a Site Planner to manage and optimise production schedules, inventory levels, and supply chains, ensuring efficient, on-time manufacturing and smooth workflow across the site.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Production plan management – ensure schedules consider capacity, outload times, material & equipment availability, efficiency, and labour requirements. Discussion with stakeholders daily.
  • Create seasonal freeze plans to maintain service level during peak periods.
  • Through collaborative working with purchasing, ensure they are aware of order fluctuations allowing them to review stocks and address accordingly
  • Daily sleeve requirements
  • Perishable & fresh raw materials forecasting
  • Purchase orders & call off for daily fresh & longer lead time items
  • Actively analyse potential stock issues eliminating shortages and/or waste
  • Communicate clearly any potential shortages to the site ahead of time after exploring all options to eliminate
  • Daily KPi’s – Populate and play an active part in discussing the outputs in the meeting (Service Level / Plan attainment & Christmas plans)
  • Sales v Forecast analysis, communicating findings to the team, purchasing and commercial, taking relevant actions in your day to day planning
  • Maintain & evolve planning systems & tools
  • Have the ability to update planning systems with new products, recipe changes and/or run rates based on efficiency analysis
  • Have the ability to step in and cover for the other site in times of need
