Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree or other relevant Higher Education Qualification (preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience in a large Blue Chip Manufacturing environment- Global FMCG or Consumer industry would be advantageous
- Proven examples of success in People planning, drivers of performance and inspiring large teams
- Understanding of ‘Lean Manufacturing Principles’ and interconnectivity with business results, Productivity Excellence (Lean Six Sigma)
- Background in Production Management or Manufacturing excellence and Efficiency improvements
SOFT/ TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Excellent Problem solving skills across People, Process and Technical ie. Equipment
- Continuous improvement mindset and adaptability to pivot and adapt accordingly to meet ever-changing business environment
- Project champion who can lead all relevant parties in flawless execution
- Absolutely critical is People skills- Strong leadership, People Planning and strategic resourcing
- Financial Acumen, understanding of Financial principles and adept in owning budgets
- Demonstrate ‘Challenger Mindset’ within a regulated environment
- Autonomy and ability to balance long-term strategic priorities with short-term business needs
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster strong internal relationships with cross-functional stakeholders from Commercial, HSE, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering etc.

Responsibilities:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hold responsibility of ‘Nominated Person’ under Section 37(1)(e) of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989
- Leadership of strategic & operational direction of total production facility
- Cross-functional partnership & influencing to ensure delivery of site KPI’s / operational requirements
- Lead a team of 90 including approx. 8 x direct reports
- Responsible for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Financial performance across Manufacturing and Packaging for the Virginia, Brisbane site
- Ensure quality & seamless training processes having systems in place to grow a highly skilled and flexible workforce
- Lead the monitoring, tracking & communication of production performance results of each month, whilst highlighting strategies and projects for improvements
- Ensure adherence to budget and timely closure of gaps in areas such as activity recovery, expense management, headcount, yield etc
- Schedule attainment to Production plan
- Implementation of Global Manufacturing Excellence principles whilst implementing opportunities to execute manufacturing best practice across the facility
- Identification and delivery of Production related projects in areas such as Safety, Quality, Productivity, Sustainability
- Team engagement and achievement of annual ‘Your Voice’ engagement survey deliverables
- Team skills coverage and individual growth agenda, including leadership of production L&D
- Participation in annual budget cycles submitting plans for future productivity improvements
- Submission of minor CapEx to maintain or improve production environment
- Up-front costing and Production of NPD in accordance with project timelines
