The Opportunity

A well known and established builder/developer is seeking an ambitious Site or Project Engineer to jump straight into a high-performing project team in Brisbane.

This isn’t a standard role—it’s a clear, two-stage trajectory designed to fast-track your project delivery experience:

1. Immediate Focus: Step onto a active $50M luxury apartment build with 8 months remaining. You’ll hit the ground running, gain hands-on structure/fit-out delivery experience, and master the closeout/commissioning phase.
2. The Main Event: Transition seamlessly onto their next landmark $300M+ mixed-use/residential project in South Brisbane as a core member of the delivery team from early stages.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Site Manager, your responsibilities will evolve across both project lifecycles:

• Project Delivery: Drive daily site activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure strict adherence to safety, quality (QA/QC), and environmental standards.
• Commercial & Procurement: Assist with package scope development, subcontractor lettings, progress claims, and variation management.
• Technical Problem Solving: Manage RFIs, review shop drawings, resolve design-to-site interface issues, and coordinate consultant teams.
• Program & Lookaheads: Contribute to 2- to 4-week lookahead programs and assist in tracking delivery milestones against the master construction schedule.
• Closeout & Handover: (Phase 1) Lead defect inspections, commissioning processes, and handover documentation to bring the $50M build across the finish line.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 2–5 years of site/project engineering experience within the Australian commercial or multi-unit residential building sector.
• Technical Competence: Proven track record with QA processes, package management, technical submittals, and site management tools (e.g., Procore, Aconex, MS Project).
• Drive & Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, strong commercial acumen, and the proactive drive to take ownership on-site.
