Description

Due to the continuing and ongoing restructure of the Engineering Function at Cranswick Gourmet Bacon and investment in the site we are currently looking for a Key Project and Site Improvements Management for Cranswick Gourmet Bacon.
The successful applicant will develop detailed project plans ensuring resource availability and allocation to deliver and make improvements to all projects on time within scope and budget.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Develop detailed Project Plans ensuring resource availability, allocation and delivering all projects on time within budget and scope.
  • Maintain Safe Systems of Work and Environmental impact issues. Always ensure safe working practices, completing and supporting relevant permit to work where applicable.
  • Initialise Planned Preventative Maintenance plan along with the Ops and Site Engineering.
  • Manager when new processes or plant are commissioned and installed.
  • Ensure all works carried out to the highest Engineering standards and quality.
  • Ensure regular feedback to the Chief Engineer on Project and Improvement issues, also departmental stakeholders on cause and effect to the department and its operational or planning impact. Escalating in the appropriate manner on more urgent issues.
  • Ensure Excellent G.E.P (Good Engineering Practices) always including a “clean as you go policy”.
  • Give regular feedback to Chief Engineer to ensure training needs are met.
  • Ensure the discipline and behaviors of all Visitors, Suppliers and Contractors whilst within your remit and that Company procedures are followed at all times, taking appropriate action where necessary.
  • Show financial acumen when planning projects and improvements always adopting preferred or best available techniques when applicable or appropriate.
  • Liaise with contractors and control their works within site. Ensure that all works are in line with company requirements and relevant permits and RAM’s to work are completed.
  • Make key decisions where appropriate and also in the absence of Chief Engineer or escalate to appropriate channel of organization.
  • Ensure all accidents and near misses are dealt with according to company procedure and observations are both driven and highlighted.
    Hours of work- Monday - Friday 08.00 am – 17.00 pm (however flexibility around core working hours is essential)
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: £64,000.00-£67,000.00 per year
