Description

We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Site Quality Control Supervisor to join our team at Newrises for a solar farm project. The Site Quality Control Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality control processes and procedures on-site during the construction and commissioning of the solar farm. This role demands excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
Visa: Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland
Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control Management:

  • Oversee and manage all site quality control activities, ensuring all construction and installation works meet specified requirements, codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and assessments of work processes, materials, and equipment to ensure quality control protocols are being followed.
  • Review and approve construction drawings, specifications, and related documents to ensure compliance with project quality standards.

Inspection & Testing:

  • Coordinate and supervise quality control testing for materials, installations, and systems (e.g., electrical, mechanical structure and civil works).
  • Perform detailed inspections and assess the condition and performance of solar panels, inverters, electrical connections, and other key components.
  • Ensure testing and commissioning activities are performed correctly and in line with company and industry standards.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control procedures, including non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and submit regular quality control reports to project management, highlighting any quality issues or delays and suggesting solutions.

Collaboration & Training:

  • Collaborate with the project manager, site engineers, and contractors to resolve any quality issues that may arise during construction and commissioning.
  • Lead and conduct quality control training for workers and subcontractors to ensure they understand and follow quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide support to the procurement team to verify material quality before delivery to site.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for improvement in quality control processes and procedures and implement solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the development and improvement of project-specific quality plans and quality management systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control or site supervision, preferably within the renewable energy or construction sector.
  • Experience working on solar farm construction projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, standards, and best practices in the construction or energy sector.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO, IEC, OSHA).
  • Knowledge of solar farm components and construction methods, including civil works, electrical installations, and system integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
