Doran Jones is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a high-performing DevOps team supporting critical infrastructure for a global financial technology company leading securities finance applications for a client base of investment banks, agent lenders, and hedge funds.
Due to our rapidly growing customer base, we are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our client’s DevOps team. This role is a high-impact opportunity to work on critical production systems used by global financial institutions. You’ll contribute to the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based infrastructure, collaborating with international teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This is a remote role working EST business hours, with participation in an on-call rotation including some weekends.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration, preferably RHEL or Rocky Linux.

• Experience working in production environments with a focus on reliability and incident response.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
• In-depth experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services including, but not limited to, EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Athena, and Systems Manager.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills; ability to interact with both technical teams and occasionally clients.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced Agile environment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• AWS SysOps Associate certification.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows.
• Experience using Terraform (ability to read and interpret code).
• Experience using Ansible for configuration management.
• Basic scripting skills in Python or other scripting languages.

• Monitor production systems to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability

• Respond to and resolve incidents promptly
• Automate routine operational tasks, deployments, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and work with engineering teams to optimize application and infrastructure performance.
