REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to create and maintain pipelines via Jenkins, utilising SonarQube and Nexus and associated languages e.g. Gradle, Groovy
  • Experience using Ansible for automated deployment
  • Strong interpersonal skills being able to build relationships and influence to deliver outcomes
  • Self-motivated with a high level of confidence in delivering through ambiguity
  • Demonstrable experience of automated QA automation as part of pipeline
  • Experience of deployment to WebSphere
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Farnborough.
Our client is seeking a talented SRE to support aligning their product set to the common pipeline. This will include liaising with engineering teams, SREs and release management teams to define a successful path from automated release to production. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the performance, scalability and resilience of our client’s systems while automating and streamlining delivery pipelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Look for opportunities for improvement to help improve quality and efficiency of the process and technical approach
  • Advocate and educate our engineering teams on what has been achieved and be able to demonstrate the tangible benefits.
  • Understand and provide insight into our Certification environment, identify areas opportunities to help increase stability and overall operational efficiency
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
  • Integrate code quality and security tools such as SonarQube and Nexus
  • Develop pipeline automation using Groovy, Gradle, and other relevant languages
  • Collaborate closely with developers and DevOps to improve system reliability and performance
  • Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployments, and environment issues
