QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 4 years of experience as an SRE engineer, you excel at automating software delivery and deployment while providing documentation and self-service tools for engineering teams and customers.
  • Holding an active security clearance, you have firsthand experience managing mission-critical systems within DoD’s air-gapped networks and are well-versed in the DoD IT environment.
  • Experienced in both DoD on-premise environments and AWS cloud platforms, you navigate complex infrastructures with confidence.
  • A strong understanding of Linux, containers, virtual machines, and Kubernetes allows you to harden them in accordance with RMF security controls and STIGs/SRGs.
  • Proficiency in VMware, Docker, Helm, Ansible, and Terraform enables you to efficiently manage infrastructure and deployments.
  • Comfortable working at the command line, you thrive in hands-on technical environments.
  • Setting up backups, logging, and alerting at various layers of the OSI model is second nature, ensuring SLAs meet customer satisfaction levels.
  • Your expertise in system monitoring allows you to proactively identify potential issues and anticipate capacity needs.
  • A deep understanding of incident response processes equips you to conduct thorough root cause analyses and drive continuous improvement.
  • Resourceful and self-sufficient, you can operate effectively in air-gapped environments with limited tools and external support.
  • A collaborative mindset helps you work seamlessly with developers to maintain secure and efficient development and operational workflows.
  • Certified with Security+ or another DoD 8570.01-approved security credential, you meet the necessary compliance standards for the role.
