STORIS is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our growing platform engineering team to focus on improving the availability of our applications and infrastructure. STORIS is a leading software provider in the home furnishings industry delivering solutions to partners ranging from mom-and-pop stores up to billion-dollar retailers. Our NextGen platform uses a mixture of cloud-native, commercial, and open-source tools to deliver scalable and reliable applications.
In this role you will collaborate with Software engineers across teams to provide robust solutions to complex business needs.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years working as a reliability engineer
• Solid understanding of containerization, distributed systems, micro-services, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Experience automating the deployment and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Experience programming applications, scripts, or tooling in any modern language
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms

The salary range for this position is $110K - $140K.

• Lead the design and implementation of architectural changes to meet our operational needs
• Write shared code to build abstractions and packages for use by our development teams
• Promote infrastructure as code (IaC) and patterns allowing development teams to build well documented and reproducible infrastructure
• Help teams meet their SLOs by working with developers to capture meaningful logs, metrics, and traces. Monitor system and application performance to proactively identify and address issues
• Perform code reviews to ensure the team is following best practices and all changes meet user requirements
• Continually review our existing systems and practices to identify areas of improvement
• Take part in the regular upgrade and maintenance of our infrastructure
• On-call rotation
