WHO YOU ARE: The SRE Engineer II will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying and resolving system issues, scripting and automating processes to drive efficiency. Working closely with management as part of a global team, a DevOps Engineer is responsible for the stability, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting of assigned technologies. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Work as part of a global, cross-functional team to create and support innovative solutions. Contribute to projects by creating and implementing well-designed, documented solutions. Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes using coding and scripting. Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions. Maintaining architecture and engineering skills required to support the assigned platforms. Create and support technology infrastructure environments that enable cloud-based solutions specifically AWS. Occasionally participate in on-call rotations and/or provide after-hours support. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or on a related field 5+ years of experience in SRE, mainly in AWS and on prem. Expertise in DevOps Architecture & Process development Experience in Version control, Environment, Release strategy development and Branching Policy Build infrastructure as a code using Terraform, Ansible and Kubernetes Manage and performance tune either databases (Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch) or streaming data pipelines (Kafka, Flink, Storm, Spark frameworks) Drive engineering automation from CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, monitoring & alerting to developer support. Write and maintain runbooks for knowledge driven automated processes. Familiarity with Datadog, Azure Monitor, Cloud Watch, Splunk and other cloud management tools. Partner with developers and quality engineering teams to automate the monitoring, alerting, availability and scalability of our applications and systems. Established experience in Cloud Service development, compute engineering and automation. Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment Pipelines i.e. Jenkins, GitHub. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
