We are seeking a passionate SRE to join our dynamic team and help ensure the reliability and performance of our Markets trading applications. These systems must achieve a unique blend of ultra-low latency performance and the capacity to seamlessly facilitate the busiest trading days in the world economy. The successful joiner must be able to solve problems creatively, communicate effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior SREs and product development teams to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot our Markets trading platform.
  • Support the migration of markets applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Assist in automating tasks to enhance system scalability and reliability.
  • Contribute to incident response and on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain and modify settings of the UC4 workflow Scheduler tool

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems.
  • Experience with Cloud-based platform(s).
  • Basic programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced trading environment.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, GCE, and/or GKE
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience in financial markets
  • Experience with Workflow based scheduling tools
