The Role: What to expect Role Responsibilities: What you will do Investigate and troubleshoot incidents reported by technical support Analyze system behaviour and logs to identify root causes Collaborate with development teams to implement long-term fixes Document recurring issues, troubleshooting procedures, and develop playbooks (including FTAs and FMEAs) Propose tools, monitoring improvements, or data signals to detect or predict issues early and support proactive action Drive knowledge sharing across teams and contribute to knowledge articles to improve first-level incident response Optimize operational processes and automations using scripting languages and tools to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction Coordinate incident triage and prioritization, ensuring critical issues are addressed quickly and routed to the appropriate teams Act as the technical point of coordination during complex incidents, helping drive investigation and resolution across multiple teams Evaluate incoming issues and change requests, pushing back or redirecting when necessary to ensure engineering efforts focus on high-impact problems Role Requirements: What you need to succeed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics Software Engineering or related field 3+ years of experience in engineering-focused support or reliability roles, preferably in software or robotics systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to reason about complex distributed robotic systems and trace issues across multiple components Experience with Docker Familiarity with incident management practices (incident triage, root cause analysis, post-mortems) Strong prioritization and decision-making skills in fast-moving operational environments Ability to coordinate investigations across multiple stakeholders and drive issues toward resolution Comfortable leading technical discussions with both internal teams and external customers Comfortable working asynchronously in distributed teams with flexible hours Preferably, you already have experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash, and have worked with robotics systems or autonomous platforms Excellent written and spoken English skills Why idealworks At idealworks, you will find an international working environment and become part of an experienced, open team where mutual trust counts.
