Position Title: Site Reliability Engineer
Location: Berkeley Heights New Jersey 07922
Duration: 12 Months (Contract to Hire)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The SRE is responsible for providing on-call service continuity and escalated support for Web Portal, Web Services, Micro Services and other assigned production applications.

• On call will be Monday to Monday, overnight work could be required during these on call shifts
• Probably every 5th week will be on call for a week.
• Needs 8-10 yrs of experience as an SRE
• Want someone with a development background!
• Provide 24x7 support of production Internet applications on a rotating basis.
• Linux experience we are a hybrid system so on cloud is available as well
• Good understanding of cloud concepts, AZURE or AWS exp
• OpenShift to manage their cloud systems (would be a plus)
• Drive Open Systems SEVerity crisis technical bridges and/or management bridges, as required and leverages experience and organizational knowledge to reduce MTTR (turnaround time for incident coming in, how much time will it take for a resolution)
• Works with Change Management/ Release Managers
• FTS and Open System development to perform project code installations
• Document install-defects and assign severity to the problems that occurred. After fallback, perform postmortem to identify root cause analysis (RCA)
• Support Disaster Recovery tests/Risk Mitigation
• Work with Card Services architects to validate and design enterprise solutions and application monitoring tools
