Join the Services Engineering team within Operations & Infrastructure (O&I), where you’ll support the fulfilment of service requests across Visa’s applications, infrastructure and SCE platforms, while also contributing to innovative AI-led initiatives. This team plays a vital role in delivering services from SCE’s standard catalogue, which includes application, infrastructure and platform-related requests. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to work on complex application support investigation, streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks (TOIL), and support migration activities and continuously improve the reliability and operability of business-critical systems. About The Team The Services Engineering team, part of Visa’s O&I entities, supports service delivery for Spend Clarity for Enterprises (SCE). We focus on fulfilling application and infrastructure requests, improving operational processes, and driving automation. Our mission is to ensure exceptional services, optimal product functionality, and increased operational efficiency. The Services Engineering team plays a key role in enabling scalable, efficient and reliable service delivery across the organisation. By supporting both production applications and SCE platforms, and by contributing to AI-driven solutions, you’ll help reduce operational overhead, prevent recurring issues, and enhance the overall service experience for internal and external stakeholders. Your work directly supports Visa’s commitment to innovation, reliability, and excellence in financial services. What You’ll Do · Fulfil application, infrastructure and SCE platform service requests from the standard service catalogue · Support production applications and platforms, including incident triage, service restoration, and root cause analysis · Collaborate with development, product, and infrastructure teams to resolve application‑level and platform issues · Identify recurring issues and contribute to problem management, stability improvements, and reliability initiatives · Help reduce repetitive operational tasks through automation and scripting · Support migration projects and contribute to process and operational improvements · Contribute to GenAI initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery What We’re Looking For · Basic background in Application and Production Support, supporting .NET‑based applications in a production environment · Experience troubleshooting, supporting, and maintaining business‑critical or customer‑facing applications, including incident triage, investigation, and service restoration · Hands‑on exposure to Microsoft application stacks such as .NET, C#, IIS, and SQL Server, with the ability to understand application behaviour through logs, metrics, and code‑level signals · A proactive, problem‑solving mindset with a strong sense of ownership · Ability to work effectively with developers, product teams, and infrastructure partners to resolve application‑level issues · Curiosity about automation, scripting, and reliability practices to reduce manual operational effort (prior experience is beneficial but not required) · Enthusiasm to grow within a Site Reliability Engineering role, with increasing focus on cloud infrastructure, automation, and reliability practices, while remaining closely aligned to application support and production operations This is a hybrid position. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or · Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD) with 2+ year of relevant experience, or · 5+ years of hands-on experience in a technical role involving application support, infrastructure, operations, or software support Preferred Qualifications · Proven track record in delivering high‑quality technical service and production application support. · Hands‑on experience with web protocols and infrastructure, including HTTP, firewalls, PKI, and SFTP. · Experience working with transactional systems (e.g., banking, finance, telecommunications). · Exposure to enterprise SaaS applications and distributed systems. · Understanding of cloud platforms and services, preferably AWS. · Awareness of security and compliance frameworks such as PCI‑DSS. · Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, IIS, and MS SQL Server. · Experience with Microsoft development tools and languages such as SQL Server, Visual Studio, XML, XSL, PowerShell, and C#. · Demonstrated initiative in automation, reliability improvements, and process optimisation. · Strong customer‑focused mindset for both internal and external stakeholders. · Effective communicator and collaborator with a hands‑on, solution‑oriented approach. · Adaptable to changing environments and flexible with working hours. · Passion for continuous learning and professional development. · Ability to adapt quickly to evolving challenges and technologies. · Prior client‑facing experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills. · Experience collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones. · Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time‑critical tasks effectivel Additional Information Visa is an EEO Employer.
